English–Spanish Translation and Adaptation

I am DELE C2 certified in Spanish.*

I offer translation, proofreading, and stylistic adaptation between English and Spanish for:

• Educational and academic materials
• Essays, articles, and creative writing
• Websites, newsletters, and public-facing communications
• Bilingual resources for schools and nonprofit organizations

I specialize in making translated writing sound natural and intentional.

Please note that I do not currently provide certified translations for legal or immigration purposes.

Editing and Writing Feedback

I provide thoughtful, detailed feedback on:

• Poetry manuscripts and individual poems
• Fiction and creative nonfiction
• Academic essays and research writing
• Personal statements and application materials
• Writing in either English or Spanish

Depending on the project, services may include proofreading, line editing, developmental feedback, or a written manuscript assessment. I aim to identify what a piece is trying to become, not simply circle every comma until my hands fall off.

Tutoring

I offer individual tutoring for high-school and college students in:

• Chemistry
• Academic writing
• Spanish
• English and English Language Arts
• AP exam preparation
• Seal of Biliteracy preparation

Sessions are available in English, Spanish, or bilingually and may be tailored to ongoing coursework, skill development, exam preparation, or a specific assignment or project.

Online and in-person sessions are available.

Educational and Freelance Writing

I am available for selected projects involving:

• Science and environmental writing
• Curriculum and lesson development
• Bilingual educational resources
• Articles, essays, and public-facing explanatory content
• Editing and adaptation for schools, publishers, and nonprofit organizations

Rates depend on the type and scope of the project. Please contact me with a brief description of what you need, even if the project is still taking shape and currently exists mostly as a troubling collection of notes.

*DELE C2 is the highest level of Spanish proficiency recognized by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, indicating mastery-level or near-native proficiency.

PLEASE NOTE: I no longer offer spiritual consultations to houseplants. The ficuses found my philosophy unnecessarily bleak, and the succulents refused to pay.
